Although most of our customers are located in the ‘Inner South’ or ‘Inner North’, we can travel to any part of Canberra and beyond. We’ve recently helped some homeowners in the Southern Highlands.

Sadly, we get asked this often.

We cannot constantly visit homes to fix other peoples mistakes as we have our own customers to help and make sure we don’t make those same mistakes.

However, send some pictures and some history of what has happened, along with your original competitor quote to hello@auroradesigns.com.au – we will try and help where possible.

At the very least, we can provide you with a professional opinion on the quality of the product/installation, allowing you to have a little more information to go back to your provider and defend your position or seek compensation.

We do boast really fast lead times, this is due to a few reasons.

  1. We don’t blast promotions, advertisements or discounts across the internet – meaning we don’t sell anything to anyone, we’re very selective on what products we offer to the market. We’re not the biggest window furnishings/wallcoverings provider in the region, but we are the best – that’s ok with us.

  2. We only work with Australian owned workrooms and companies. This ensures lead times from suppliers and raw materials are available faster.

  3. We check the availability of products and fabrics before providing you a quote to avoid unnecessary backorders.

  4. We don’t take on large commercial jobs at low margins for inferior products. This way, our team is available to help you faster.

  5. We keep our business processes automated behind the scenes so our people are freed up, and unshackled from their desks/computers, to spend more time with you.

  6. All of our team help install.

    One of our strong beliefs is that everyone who works with us must be able to install the products we offer, or at least assist the Technicians in doing so.

  7. When our Technicians are busy, other members of our team, including our owners, jump in and help out. One team, one dream.

No. We believe you deserve to be happy with our products and services before paying the balance of your invoice. We won’t hold your products as ransom for final payment.

We ask for a deposit before your order is made in our local workrooms, the amount is specified on each and every quote.

There are some good window furnishing companies here in Canberra. In fact, there are now over 40 based in the ACT.

We don’t mind if you don’t choose to work with us. We understand the level of choice is overwhelming. We believe we offer the best services and products, but respect that you make this decision for yourself.

That’s true and we’re ok with this. There are a few reasons;

  1. We don’t incentivise our customers to leave reviews. This is against Google policy but also goes against our core value of ‘Authentic’.

  2. We don’t incentivise our staff to get a bonus if a customer mentions their name in a positive review. Why? We train our team to provide the same high level of service to every single client of Aurora Designs regardless of how motivated they are to get a financial incentive on that day.

  3. We don’t work with as many homeowners or clients as our competitors do. We rely on word of mouth, not blasting the internet/radio with advertising.

No. Our pricing is fair and competitive but different to others as our products are of the highest quality and service is top notch.

Aurora Designs carefully selects manufacturing partners and workrooms based on an extensive criteria, which includes;

  1. Being 100% Australian owned and operated. We believe in supporting our local communities.
  2. Proximity to our own Showroom. To cut down on unnecessary multiple deliveries and long distance.

No. We don’t believe in offering discounts off our products to try and attract customers or business. We strongly believe in the quality of our products and services and our fair and transparent pricing reflects that.

We are competitive with pricing and there is a value in the quality of product, service and warranty that we provide.

Whilst  many window furnishing brands engage in discounted sales to clear excess unpopular inventory or to make-up for underperforming sales consultants, we believe that our products, our team and their service should be appreciated for their quality and craftsmanship rather than marked down in desperation.

Our approach is to provide consistent value and maintain fair pricing year-round without resorting to short sighted sales tactics.

It’s simple really; we only work with quality workrooms who produce superior quality work to others. We have worked with some of these for many years and are confident in their craftsmanship and the materials they use.

Our competitors often provide mixed messaging with their warranties. E.g. “Lifetime warranties” – that only last 5 years.

Our warranties are realistic, tried and tested.

We are also very transparent with our warranties for products and services.

Most companies offer a limited 1-2 year installation warranty. Not us! We believe in offering, in the very least, the same timeframe as the product.

Our product warranties vary by product and manufacturing location. All products have their warranties listed on our product pages, but we also have a dedicated page to our warranties due to this being such a regular question we get, and being one key reason customers choose us over others.

One of our core values is authenticity.

We have nothing to hide.

We take measurements in the home to ensure they fit perfectly, but we then have to apply certain manufacturing ‘deductions’.

The measurements are no secret, so we’re happy to share them, all you have to do is ask.

We’ve never understood why our competitors hide such information as if they don’t trust their measurement accuracy or they don’t like sharing them to be compared for pricing.

We’re ok if you want to compare prices between us and others by using these measurements. Our pricing is transparent, as is our service and our approach to doing this.

We have nothing to hide and as such, we’ve garnered a lot of trust in our community and from our customers as a result.

Because we offer a professional design service as well as a measure and quote. There is no obligation to go ahead with your quote.

It’s safe to assume that prices will increase, especially in the current economic climate. However, we commit to supporting our partners for the long term. As such, they often protect us from price increases unlike other retailers and design agencies. We’ve worked with a number of them for years and as a result of our loyalty, they limit our price increases.

Price rises are inevitable though. We take the risks in business to honour such a quote timeframe and by keeping our business overheads low, relying on word of mouth and not huge advertising budgets, we can continue to pass on those savings to you.

We are VERY picky on who we take investment from though, as their values have to match ours 100%. So don’t be offended if we don’t want to take your money, there are still other ways we can work together.

We don’t put company advertising on the majority of our vehicles as we like to fly under the radar with our brand. As we’ve said, we are often referred to our clients by their friends or family, so there is really no need to spend funds on such advertising. Some of our initial vehicles do have branding though.
