Weather-Resistant Fabrics
Choose from a range of high-performance outdoor acrylic fabrics, designed to withstand the Australian sun and offer optimal shade and sun protection. Our main suppliers include; Ricky Richards Docril, HVG Sattler, Dickson, Hunter Douglas and Somerton Acrylics. Here at Aurora Designs, we only partner with Australian-owned and manufactured awning experts. Not only is the end product manufactured locally, but all the raw materials are also milled right here in Australia. This really delivers on our sustainable promise and core value, as no materials are shipped overseas to make inferior products to then be imported to be ‘assembled’ here. When we say “made locally”, we mean it.

Technical Specifications
Warranty
Aurora Designs offers an extended full 15 year warranty on the Merimbula Folding Arm Awning.
This includes all componentry, fabric, motorisation and installation. This is widely recognised as the best warranty in the industry for a superior product at a fair price.
Sizes
Available from 4.5 metre to 15 metre widths, requiring between 2 and 5 arms depending on your selection.
Projections come in 500mm intervals up to 4 metres for maximum shade coverage.
Extruded Pelmet
Optional for added openness appeal and durability.
Construction
Aluminium and stainless steel. All powdercoating is done inside the awning manufacturing workroom, meaning less handling and no use of external 3rd parties damaging the product in transit. This is something exclusive to the Aurora chosen workrooms.
All construction is done by qualified and well trained professionals in a controlled environment. No machines or shortcuts are used in the manufacturing process.

Pitch
The pitch of this awnings is adjustable on installation with Aurora Designs technicians, from 0 degrees to 90 degrees.
Please note: this model does not come with an adjustable pitch option.

Operation
Motorisation is recommended for optimal performance, for smaller installations a crank handle is available.
Whilst this may save a couple of hundred dollars, it’s not recommended for long-term use.
Installation
Available as Face or Top Fit only. Mounting brackets are end mount only.
Custom brackets are also possible for roof penetrations and other installation types but are subject to approval from Aurora Designs owners.
Colours
Standard colours are White, Ivory, Silver, or Black.
Custom powder coating is also available, free of charge.

Yes, the pitch can be adjusted at installation from 0° to 90°, and on select models, you can adjust the pitch from 0° to 45° for user-controlled performance.
