Flexible Operations
The Huskisson Folding Arm Awning is best operated with motorised remote control or via your smartphone app using a Wifi Hub, offering ultimate convenience with the touch of a button. For smaller to medium sizes, manual crank operation is also available. Aurora Designs strongly recommends motorising this Huskisson Folding Arm Awning.
Pitch Control
The Huskisson fold out awning comes with pitch control that adjusts the angle of the awning to suit different sun positions and homeowner preferences. Choose from our ‘standard option’ or the ‘pitch control’ version, which offers an adjustable pitch of 0-45° to fine-tune the shade throughout the day.
Customisable Fit
The Huskisson Folding Arm Awnings are available in widths up to 6 metres and projections up to 4 metres. The awnings can be installed in various configurations, including face, fascia, roof, eave, and top fit options, with the possibility of custom solutions tailored to your specific requirements.
Robust and Reliable
With a stabilising control mechanism and the inclusion of an optional extruded pelmet, The Huskisson Folding Arm Awning offers exceptional strength and stability, even in some windy conditions. Optional stabilising poles further enhance the awning's durability in heavier winds for some peace of mind. However, Aurora Designs does not recommend leaving the Awnings left unattended in windy conditions, even with the addition of a stabilising pole.

Technical Specifications
Warranty
Aurora Designs offers an extended full 15 year warranty on the Huskisson Folding Arm Awning. This includes all componentry, fabric, motorisation and installation. This is widely recognised as the best warranty in the industry for a superior product at a fair price.
Sizes
Widths can range from 2 metres to 6 metres, with projections from 1.5 metres to 3.5 metres.
Construction
Aluminium and stainless steel. All powdercoating is done inside the awning manufacturing workroom, meaning less handling and no use of external 3rd parties damaging the product in transit. This is something exclusive to the Aurora chosen workrooms.
All construction is done by qualified and well trained professionals in a controlled environment. No machines or shortcuts are used in the manufacturing process.

Pitch Control
Available with standard (0-45°) at point of installation by Aurora Designs technicians, or user pitch control (0-90°).
This pitch control is done by both awning arms with a supplied crank handle. Instructions and guidance will be provided by the Aurora Designs technicians during the installation.
Operation
Motorisation is recommended for optimal performance, for smaller installations a crank handle is available.
Whilst this may save a couple of hundred dollars, it’s not recommended for long term use.
Installation
Available as Face or Top Fit only. Mounting brackets are end mount only.
Custom brackets are also possible for roof penetrations and other installation types but are subject to approval from Aurora Designs owners.
Colours
Standard colours are White, Ivory, Silver, or Black.
Custom powder coating is also available, free of charge.
Pelmet
Extruded aluminium pelmet included and colourbond hood is optional.

Of course. Colour matching of the componentry/hardware and fabrics is a service we offer as standard. We want to ensure you choose the product that is practical but also looks stunning. We often recommend matching the colours of the gutters or window frames though, not necessarily your facade.
Yes, you can if you wish to do so. However, wind sensors are not the best option for fold out retractable awnings. Instead, we’d recommend a motion sensor that is attached to the arms of the awning.
- Sun sensors are programmed to extend your awning when the sun is starting to hit the windows of your home. It will then retract your awning as the sun goes down.
- A rain sensor is ideal for situations where your awning cannot be installed with a steep pitch. A suitable pitch (angle) is essential to allow rain to run off your awning. If the angle is too shallow, rain collects on the awning and stretches the fabric.
- Another way the rain sensor can be used is when enough pitch is available on your awning. The wires on the sensor can then be reversed so that your awning actually extends when it begins to rain. This is ideal for keeping furniture and your outdoor area dry.
- The wind (or motion) sensor is usually combined with the sun sensor, measuring both the level of the sun as well as wind speed. This type of sensor offers you the ultimate in automation, allowing protection for furniture and reducing heating costs in your home, whilst protecting your awning from damage.
