Motorised Operation
The Manyana Folding Arm Awning is best operated with motorised remote control or via your smartphone app using a Wifi Hub, offering ultimate convenience with the touch of a button. The Manyana Folding Arm Awnings are available in widths up to 6 metres and projections up to 4 metres. The awnings can be installed in various configurations, including face, fascia, roof, eave, and top fit options, with the possibility of custom solutions tailored to your specific requirements.

Not only is the end product manufactured locally, but all the raw materials are also milled right here in Australia. Technical Specifications
Warranty
Aurora Designs offers an extended full 15 year warranty on the Manyana Folding Arm Awning. This includes all componentry, fabric, motorisation and installation. This is widely recognised as the best warranty in the industry for a superior product at a fair price.
Sizes
Widths can range from 2m to 6m, with projections from 1.5m to 3.5m.
Construction
Aluminium and stainless steel. All powdercoating is done inside the awning manufacturing workroom, meaning less handling and no use of external 3rd parties damaging the product in transit. This is something exclusive to the Aurora chosen workrooms.
All construction is done by qualified and well trained professionals in a controlled environment. No machines or shortcuts are used in the manufacturing process.

Pitch
The pitch of this awnings is adjustable on installation with Aurora Designs technicians, from 0 degrees to 90 degrees.

Operation
Motorisation is recommended for optimal performance, for smaller installations a crank handle is available.
Whilst this may save a couple of hundred dollars, it’s not recommended for long-term use.
Installation
Available as Face or Top Fit only. Mounting brackets are end mount only.
Custom brackets are also possible for roof penetrations and other installation types but are subject to approval from Aurora Designs owners.
Colours
Standard colours are White, Ivory, Silver, or Black.
Custom powder coating is also available, free of charge.

The Manyana Folding Arm Awning can be installed in widths up to 6 meters for a single unit, making it suitable for both small and large outdoor areas.
The Aurora Folding Arm Awning is designed to withstand moderate wind conditions. For added protection, it can be fitted with an optional motion sensor that will automatically retract the awning during high winds or unexpected gusts. For this reason, Aurora Designs does not recommend a wind sensor for Folding Arm Awnings. Motion sensors, which are fitted to the arms, are a much better option.
It is available in a range of outdoor acrylic fabrics, designed specifically to withstand the harsh Australian sun and provide excellent shade and sun protection.
We cannot really comment on our competitors’ warranties. Here at Aurora Designs, we only work with quality locally owned companies who offer us extended warranties. We pass them on to our customers and add some additional warranty at our own cost for the peace of mind of our customers. - Sun sensors are programmed to extend your awning when the sun is starting to hit the windows of your home. It will then retract your awning as the sun goes down.
- A rain sensor is ideal for situations where your awning cannot be installed with a steep pitch. A suitable pitch (angle) is essential to allow rain to run off your awning. If the angle is too shallow, rain collects on the awning and stretches the fabric.
- Another way the rain sensor can be used is when enough pitch is available on your awning. The wires on the sensor can then be reversed so that your awning actually extends when it begins to rain. This is ideal for keeping furniture and your outdoor area dry.
- The wind (or motion) sensor is usually combined with the sun sensor, measuring both the level of the sun as well as wind speed. This type of sensor offers you the ultimate in automation, allowing protection for furniture and reducing heating costs in your home, whilst protecting your awning from damage.

The folding arm awnings are designed to be low maintenance. Simply clean the fabric periodically with water and mild detergent, and ensure that the cassette and moving parts are free from debris. Regular maintenance checks are recommended to ensure optimal performance.
